B1.f) Data loss and damage

It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure that all data is backed up in whatever manner is appropriate before sending the device to us. The company will not be held liable for any data loss arising from work carried out by the company due to the process of repair or posting the device back to you. Although we are trained professionals and take every care to ensure that best practices are used when carrying out a repair or when packing a device for posting we cannot guarantee that the device will not sustain damage due to unforeseen circumstances and we cannot guarantee that there will be no data loss.

Pin Locks and passwords must be removed before you send your device to us. We advise you to retain your SIM card, memory cards and accessories when sending us your device for repair, as we will not be liable for the loss. We may need to update your OS (the operating system of your device) to ensure the repair is carried out correctly.

By sending your mobile device to the company, you agree to release us from all claims, damages or losses with respect to the mobile device, any data stored therein or on any media used in conjunction with the mobile device (This could be in the form of personal details, SMS, photos, games, songs or other data). We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that such data is removed from the mobile device before sending the device to the company.

C) Registration

C1.1) In order to purchase goods or services from this website, you need to register your details with us. On registration, you must provide us with accurate and complete registration information and it is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that information by updating your details in the My Account section.

C1.2) On first registration you will choose a user name and password (ID). None of our employees or agents will ever ask you for this password. Do not disclose this password to anyone under any circumstances.

C1.3) You are responsible for all use of your ID and for preventing unauthorised use of your ID. If you believe there has been any breach of security such as the disclosure, theft or unauthorised use of your ID or any payment information you must notify us immediately.

C1.4) Your registration does not in itself entitle you to purchase goods from us and we are not obliged to accept any or all orders that you place with us.

D) Payment

D1.1) Payment authorisation must be provided by you on the date that you place an order for repair services.

D1.2) Payment must be made by credit/debit card. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Delta. Payment will be debited from your account before delivery of the service to you.

D1.3) Upon receiving your order we will carry out a standard pre-authorisation check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds in order to fulfil the transaction. No payment is debited from your card during this pre-authorisation check.

D1.4) On some occasions, we are required by the card issuer to perform additional security checks on the payment card, which can delay the order until the card has been authorised.

D1.5) You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours.

D1.6) All product, services, prices and delivery charges are shown in UK pounds sterling. Your payment card company will perform any currency conversion, if necessary.

However owing to our policy of continuous improvement we reserve the right to change polices without prior notice.

F) Postage

The cost of posting your device to us is your responsibility. We recommend that you use a postal service that provides tracking information and insurance with delivery confirmation. Phonefixbypost.co.uk can not be held responsible for any items lost in transit.

G) Delays

Phonefixbypost.co.uk can not be held responsible for the delay of a repair caused by the delay of receipt of parts on order with manufacturers or suppliers. Not all device parts are available readily to pick to order, sometimes parts will fall outside of a manufacturing production run and are special order. The delay of your repair or service in these cases is out of the control of Phonefixbypost.co.uk.

H) Warranty

All repairs undertaken by phonefixbypost.co.uk carry a 90 day warranty from the date of sending the repair back to you, and not from the date the item is received by you. Any warranty given is not transferable and only applicable to the original transaction.

We offer a complete 90 day warranty pertaining to the parts supplied and repair work completed. Wear and tear to other parts and any subsequent breakages or faults that may develop are not covered under your warranty.

I) Returning your device under guarantee

To return a device within the 90 day warranty period please contact us by email and post your device to Phone Fix By Post, 158 Torquay Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ3 2AH.

I1.1) Return postal costs of non-warranty issues are your responsibility. We recommend that you use Royal Mail Special Delivery this provides tracking information with delivery confirmation and insurance. Phonefixbypost.co.uk is not responsible for returns lost in transit.

I1.2) Once your device has been delivered to our workshop, Phonefixbypost.co.uk will inspect your item/items. We will determine if it is a warranty repair or another issue that has arisen due to the general wear and tear of items. After this is done, we’ll send an e-mail to you notifying that your return has been processed and upon completion, your device will be returned to you. We reserve the right to refund the original invoice price rather than repair.
